Cologne Christmas Market on the Southbank

From the London Eye to the Royal Festival Hall

The Cologne Christmas Market brings the real German Christmas feeling to London’s
Southbank Centre.

From 21 November – 23 December 2008, Queen’s Walk, the area between the Royal Festival Hall and the London Eye, turns into a Christmassy promenade for the young and the young at heart.

Experience a taste of what a traditional, beautifully lit, German market has to offer at the
Cologne Christmas Market in London!

Numerous authentically decorated wooden chalets will sell a wide range of unique hand-crafted gifts and unusual Christmas presents. Wooden and tin toys, delicate glass Christmas tree ornaments, candles in all shapes and sizes and many more Christmassy products are offered in a magical winter atmosphere. Sip a warming “Glühwein” (German Mulled Wine), enjoy a famous German Bratwurst, a “Kölsch” (famous Cologne beer) or indulge yourself with roasted nuts, gingerbread hearts, and many other delicious treats.

As well as shopping, the carousel in the centre of the Christmas Market and traditional Christmas music will enthrall visitors, filling them with the Christmas spirit.

The Cologne Christmas Market is open seven days a week from 10am to 10pm. For
additional information visit the Cologne Christmas Market website.
